Holographic Astronauts at Kennedy Space Center
Space Center visitors interact with real Moonwalkers - holographically. Exhibitry’s HoloTube Life-size brings the thrill of speaking with actual Apollo astronauts to guests who may never meet one of these legends in person.
HoloTube feels straight out of science fiction. It’s part interactive kiosk, part magic trick. It captivates viewers with life-sized holographic people and interactive 3D artifacts. Visitors explore real-time holographic objects, imagery, video, animation, and virtual hosts at the touch of a finger. The self-contained HoloTube technology presents floating holographic simulations that require no special glasses. Anyone can walk right up a HoloTube display and experience the magic.
In celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Moon landing, Kennedy Space Center wanted to create a permanent virtual presence of these pioneering astronauts that could respond to visitor questions and explain the early days of space exploration to a live audience - all day, every day.
Exhibitry was honored to work with living legends. We recorded hours of holographic interviews with four different Apollo astronauts in a special studio. We captured their responses in ultra-high-definition video so that each astronaut can dynamically answer visitor questions as a hologram.
